Welcome. These terms cover your use of www.ride-sidecar.com, a project operated by Kailee Frankel in Santa Barbara, California ("SideCar," "we," "us"). By using this site or joining the waitlist, you're agreeing to them. If you don't agree, don't use the site.
What this website is
This site describes a service we are building and lets UCSB students join a waitlist for it.
SideCar has not launched. Nothing on this site is an offer to provide transportation, and joining the waitlist does not guarantee you a spot, a ride, a price, or a launch date. Descriptions of how SideCar will work reflect our current plans, and plans change.
Who can use it
The waitlist is open to currently enrolled UCSB students with a valid ucsb.edu email address. Don't sign up with an address that isn't yours, and don't sign up on someone else's behalf without asking them.
If you're under 13, you may not use this site.
What we ask of you
Use the site normally. Specifically, don't:
- Submit false information or impersonate anyone
- Submit the form repeatedly to inflate our numbers or exhaust our resources
- Try to break, probe, overload, or gain unauthorized access to the site
- Scrape, harvest, or copy the site's content for commercial use
- Use the site for anything illegal
We can remove anyone from the waitlist and block access to the site at our discretion, particularly if any of the above is happening.
What belongs to whom
The SideCar name, logo, and everything on this site is owned by Kailee Frankel or used with permission. You're welcome to read it and share links to it. You may not copy it, rebrand it, or use the SideCar name or logo for your own purposes without written permission.
Anything you send us, including feedback and ideas, we can use freely and without owing you anything. We're not asking for your ideas, but if you volunteer them, that's the deal.
What we don't promise
This site is provided as is. We do our best to keep it accurate and available, but we don't promise it will be error free, always online, or that anything described on it will launch on any particular schedule or at any particular price.
Limits on liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Kailee Frankel is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of this website.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited.
Ending it
You can leave the waitlist any time by emailing hi@ride-sidecar.com or clicking unsubscribe. We can discontinue this site, the waitlist, or the planned service at any time.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms, we'll update the date at the top. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the new version. If the change is significant and you're on the waitlist, we'll email you.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of laws rules. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Santa Barbara County, California, and you and we both consent to that.
